You deserve to be safe

It's not your fault. Abuse can be physical, emotional, sexual, financial, or digital, like tracking your phone or controlling your money. You don't have to be sure to call. Advocates will listen and help you think through your options.
This plan stays only on this screen. Nothing is sent or saved anywhere unless you choose to print it. Leaving the page erases it.
- If someone may check your phone, use a private or incognito window, or a friend's or library computer.
- Check location sharing in your phone settings and in apps like Find My, Google Maps, and Snapchat.
- Look for unknown tracking devices. iPhones and many Android phones warn you about unknown AirTags or trackers traveling with you.
- Change passwords from a safe device, and turn on two-step login for your email first.
- If you suddenly change everything, an abuser may notice. An advocate can help you plan the timing safely.
- Protection orders from a tribal court must be honored by other tribes, states, and territories under federal law (the Violence Against Women Act).
- Many tribes have their own victim services, advocates, and shelters. Ask StrongHearts to connect you with one near you.
- You can report abuse to tribal police, local police, or both.
