Your Digital Footprint

Module 1 of 1

Privacy, posting, and cyberbullying

Your digital footprint is everything about you online: posts, photos, comments, and what others share about you. It can last a long time.

Protect your privacy

  • Set accounts to private, and review who can see your posts and contact you.
  • Turn off location sharing in apps that don't need it.
  • Don't post your address, school schedule, or when you're away from home.
  • Ask before posting photos of others, especially elders and children. Some ceremonies and cultural items should not be shared at all.

If you're being bullied online

Save the evidence, block the person, report them to the platform, and tell an adult you trust. You don't have to handle it alone.
