Send an emergency alert

Open the admin portal and click Emergency alerts.

1. Choose the type, like fire or water, and the level: advisory, watch, warning, or emergency.
2. Write a short headline and what people should do. Put the most important part first, because texts are short.
3. Choose phone notifications, text messages, and email.
4. Check the confirmation box and click Send alert now.

When it is over, click End alert to send an all clear. For life-threatening emergencies, also use your county alert system and local radio.
