Module 1 of 1
Reading closely and writing clearly
This test checks how well you understand what you read and how clearly you write. It includes reading passages, grammar questions, and a short essay where you compare two arguments and explain which one is better supported.
Tips
- Find the main idea: what is the writer mostly trying to say?
- Look for evidence: facts, examples, and data that support a claim.
- In the essay, choose the stronger argument and explain why using details from the passages, not your personal opinion.
- Check grammar: complete sentences, matching subjects and verbs, and correct punctuation.
