Reading charts and thinking like a scientist
The science test covers life science, physical science, and Earth and space science. Most questions ask you to read a chart, graph, or short passage and reason about it. You don't need to memorize lots of facts.
Tips
- Read the title and labels of every chart and graph first.
- A hypothesis is a testable prediction.
- In an experiment, the variable you change on purpose is the independent variable. What you measure is the dependent variable.
- A control group is not changed, so you can compare against it.
